7 Lakes Drive
Seven Lakes Drive begins at an intersection with
Route 17 in Sloatsburg. The road here is designated
Reference
Route 981G and intersects with some local roads in
Sloatsburg for .36 of a mile. At .4 of a mile, Seven Lakes Drive
crosses under the New York State Thruway and
intersects with Johnsontown Road the first time. After the
intersection with Johnsontown Road, Seven Lakes Drive loses its 981G
designation and enters Harriman State Park. The
parkway intersects with Johnsontown Road again and heads to the
northeast.

Lake Sebago
At 310 acres, Lake Sebago is the largest lake in
Harriman State Park. The name is Algonquin for "big water". It has a
swimming beach, hand boat launch (electric motors only), and cabin
camping. The lake lies mostly in the town of Haverstraw, although small
parts extend into Ramapo and Tuxedo. Lake Sebago Beach is
surrounded by lawns, play fields and picnic areas. In addition to
swimming from the sandy beach, anglers can fish for bass, perch and
sunfish. No Pets Allowed at the beach. Phone: (845) 351-2583
Lake Kanawauke
Lake Kanawauke is a primarily man-made lake in Harriman
State Park. The name is Onondaga in origin, and means "place of much
water". There are three parts to the lake, lower, middle and upper; the
total area is 186 acres. It is located in the towns of Tuxedo and
Haverstraw.

Harriman State Park, located in Rockland and Orange counties, is the
second-largest park in the parks system, with 31 lakes and reservoirs,
200 miles of hiking trails, three beaches, two public camping areas, a
network of group camps, miles of streams and scenic roads, and scores
of wildlife species, vistas and vantage points. Harriman State Park's
major facilities include Lakes Welch, Sebago, Tiorati and Silvermine,
the Anthony Wayne Recreation Area, Sebago Cabins and Beaver Pond
Campgrounds.
