Vermont Veterans
The American Legion provides a service officer at the VA Regional Office Center in White River Junction, who advocates for veterans filing pension or compensation claims. This organization follows national legislation affecting veterans, promotes youth programs, and offers accident and life insurance, travel benefits, and an investment programs. The VFW provides a service officer at the VA Regional Office Center in White River Junction, who helps veterans in filing claims. The VFW lobbies to protect veterans' rights, offers life, health and accident insurance, cancer expense assistance, and a Medicare supplement, and operates a home in Michigan for the education of orphaned or dependent children of VFW and Ladies Auxiliary members. Disabled American Veterans
The DAV provides a service
officer at the Regional Office Center in White River Junction, who assists
veterans in filing claims. DAV also provides transportation for veterans who

Vietnam Veterans of America
"Never again shall one
generation of veterans abandon another." Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of
America, Inc. is the only national Vietnam veterans organization
congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and
their families. VVA goals are to promote and support the full range of issues
important to Vietnam veterans, to create a new identity for this generation of
veterans, and to change public perception of Vietnam veterans. Membership is
open to all Vietnam-era veterans who served on active duty for other than
training purposes between January 1, 1959 and May 7, 1975. Associate membership
is open to all veterans, family members, friends, and the general public. You
