1		Buy a computer A good PC costs around $5-700 these days. See Dell.com (for example) Make sure your new PC has a CD burner Organize your work (get high quality photos) No need for black & white photos (The graphics program that comes with your computer can convert your images into B & W at a click of a button) Use 1 cd per image (may have different sizes and formats, but keep your paintings on they own CD) Keeps all you images in a directory on your computer when you'll know where thet are, for example, call the directory "your name" Compile your resume Compile your artist reviews (if any) Create an Artist statement

2		Join your local art organization(s). More then one is more chance to exhibit. Submit to shows Learn to accept rejection (lost of rejections) Create or buy a website / webpage. (See below)

3		Search the Internet for opportunities in your area, for example, search google for "art" and your town's name, or county name. Greene County Arts Council Columbia County Council on the Arts The Westchester Arts Council

One thing for sure is that you need
some kind of web presence.

My WebSite Pricing have been adjusted and thought to inform you and these options. I would suggest #5 for modest sum and the most web exposure.

1) For a "free listing", listed only in your town, minor descriptions and on the Artists' page.

2) For $45 go here, Priced listing. I would list you in a page of your choice plus your town and 5 town pages of your choosing.

3)Avoid "free" web pages that offer "pop-up" ads.

4) Be listed on all my web sites.

5) I could create a web page for you and place your name, address, phone and description for a one time fee of $75. There would not be "ANY" other fees. http://bearsystems.com/yourname/ would be the URL of your page. No monthly cost.
