"It's on my mind"
A perfect life,
I wish I had.
I smile pretty,
Although I'm sad.
Smile through the pain,
Smile through the fears.
The something in my eyes,
They're actually tears.
I seem fine on the outside,
But on the inside tearing apart.
Speak about me all you want,
The pain shows only in my heart.
It never shows,
But believe me is there.
All my doubts and all my pain,
I wonder if you even care.
Of course you don't,
And I should know.
But I'm the fool,
And the one to let go.
Things will get better,
Yes maybe someday.
But I won't be here,
You drove me away.
