"The Taming of a Heart"

There's a hole in my heart

Where love should go

But how I will find that love

I just dont know

There's an aching inside me

That burns like a flame

Iits like a ferocious beast

That no one can tame

And then I looked in your eyes

And you touched my soul

You hushed the savage creature

And gave back my control

Then you opened up my mind

You showed me the way

You helped me see who I am inside

You brought a brighter day

But everyday must dawn

Every good time must end

I know you're out there somewhere

So to you my love I'll forever send.

"Under Blue Skies"

There's a line in every song

That reminds me of you

There's a place where I belong

Its where our love is true

There's a brook that tumbles

Softy through my dreams

There's are words my heart only mumbles

But when I sleep they're screamed

There's something that makes me strong

But what it is, I have no clue

There's a time when I'm never wrong

Its when I'm under blue skies with you.

"The Ghosts of Violence"

I go to my room

I turn off the light

And all is hidden in the gloom

Nothing is right

I lay on my bed

And I cry to myself

I try to raise my head

To leave my troubles on the shelf

I know I will sleep

Eventually

I utter not one more peep

Through the obscurity I try to see

I see the dark shadows

Moving in silence

These shadows are the ghosts

Of every past violence

I remember the tears

I remember the pilow cases

Which all are stained bright red

From my many bloody faces

These memories rush back

Bringing with them fears

My heart returns to that shade of black

That it was for so many years

I search for some salvation

Some way to make it right

Still it seems there has been no creation

Of that which we call light
